Hello! I'm Ellie I am an upcoming Web Designer / Devloper!
My journey on this Front End Developer path started in January 2021
I have a degree in Contour and Fashion design, developing skills to become a Garment Technologist. You might sit there and think so what happened? Why the sudden change of career? Well this exciting new aventure started by being made redundant in 2020 due to Covid (the dreading Covid word!) I began to re-evaluate my career and what I wanted in life
I anaylsed what I was interested in and where I could be free to create new and challenging concepts that excited me but was also very rewarding
One day I saw a post (while being on Furlough) about Web Development, a course to learn about Front End Development, it took me a few months to find the courage to make a very important inquiry and a positive phone call that December (2020) with The Learning People. I had time to think and really weigh up if I could 'restart' my career again?
I was able to take up their 5 day coding challenge, which made me determind to pursue this new career change. After completing the 5 day coding challenge I was enrolled in the 'Front End Developer' course
Since being on this course I have had many high moments and many low moments which has tested my capabilities and my determination to never give up!
